Regional Director of Sales at Sabre Corporation
Jan Alfrink is the Director of Sales Europe for Sabre Hospitality Solution. In this role, he leads the direct sale of our portfolio of products and services to a range of branded and independent hotel groups and chains. SHS is the global leader in SaaS-based distribution, operations, retailing, and guest experience and enterprise intelligence solutions for the hospitality industry. Before he joined Sabre he served as Head of Sales at Navarino Hotels, an international management company consulting on technology solutions for independent hotel properties. Previously he gained hands on international hospitality experience in the profit and not-for-profit sector working in various roles in Europe, Asia, America and Africa during a career spanning over 20 years to work in a voluntary capacity as mentor and coach in this teaching hotel with 39 bedrooms and 3 meeting rooms. Directed 45 staff and mentored 26 trainee hoteliers and wrote F&B and hotel training syllabus. Jan Alfrink is based in the UK, has a Global MBA from Oxford Brookes University and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management.
Panelist in the panel: The Future of Corporate Travel
Corporate travel is still increasing and it is not so strange that more platforms are being offered for our corporate customers to book through. Both Expedia and Booking are trying to find their share in this piece of the pie. At the same time the consortia travel agencies are also growing and improve their Self Booking Tools for their customers in order to take over the role from the Travel Managers. That will have an impact on corporate sales managers within the hotel industry, as they will have a different type of communication with their customers. In this panel we will try to find out what the future will be for Corporate travel and how hotels best can act in order to maximize revenue from this segment.
